This months foster spotlight is shining on Chris and Collette. Chris and Collette are a wonderful husband and wife team whose relationship with K9 Konnection began in February of 2025 when they adopted puppy, Hopper. Since then, they have truly become K9 Konnection family members.
Kodi, a parvo surviving pup, became their second K9 Konnection adoption. After Kodi, Chris and Collette answered the call to foster a mama dog and her 3 newborn pups. They loved, nurtured, and socialized these puppies until they found their forever homes. Their mama, Tika, didn’t need to look far for her home. She stayed with Chris and Collette. In early summer, they once again became fosters to a dog in need. Remi had been adopted from K9, but now was being returned. Remi needed behavioral rehabilitation upon his return. Chris and Collette didn’t hesitate to take him in, working with him to be a happy, healthy dog. He did so well in their home that they just couldn’t imagine him leaving. Remi became K9 Konnection adoption number 4.
Chris and Collette are now fostering Calvin, a dog from a hoarding situation. Calvin, who was initially very shy and untouchable, is now thriving. They are also fostering 3 young puppies who came into the shelter without a mother. Â
Chris and Collette don’t just foster, they also volunteer at the Saturday Petsmart adoption events, attend the K9 breakfasts and other fundraisers. They are always willing to lend a hand.
