Foster of the Month – May

K9 Konnection Foster of the Month - May
This months foster spotlight is shining on Lori McCann. Lori, who had never fostered before, agreed to take on 4 Pomeranian mix puppies found in a box at the Toyota Proving Grounds.

These babies were about 6 weeks old and were missing most of their fur due to lack of proper nutrition and a weakened immune system.

These pups were pink! Picture bald baby squirrels or birds. Paul and Deb delivered the puppies to Lori the evening of March 4th, and the fun began.

There were multiple daily feedings and many, many baths to help their skin. Over the course of the 7 (yes 7) weeks these puppies were with Lori, they thrived. All 4 grew back their fur and turned into healthy, happy puppies.

On Saturday, April 25th, Lori said goodbye to Haven, Isabell, Kinzie, and Gus, as they left for their forever homes.

When your first foray into fostering is 4 active puppies, who stayed longer than most, I wasn’t sure how Lori would feel about fostering again. I couldn’t have been happier when she told me
“give me a few weeks and I’ll foster again”.  I promised her just one dog next time.

Thank you, Lori, for becoming a K9 Konnection Foster.  Because of your efforts, 4 beautiful puppies are living the happy, loving lives they deserve.

Lori’s personal dog, Brandy, has her Mama and her house back… for now 😂❤️🐾
