Foster of the Month – September

Foster of the Month - September Sally Walden
This month, the Foster Spotlight is shining brightly on Sally Walden!

Sally began fostering for K9 Konnection in January 2026, and in that short time, she has already fostered an incredible 14 puppies. But her connection to K9 Konnection doesn’t stop there—Sally is also a K9 Konnection adopter. She and her husband simply couldn’t let one of their foster dogs go, so their foster officially became the newest member of the Walden family!

Fun fact about Sally: She loved helping K9 Konnection so much that she decided to take her involvement one step further and now works at the shelter as our Administrative Assistant. We are so incredibly happy to have her on our team!

Sally brings a wealth of experience when it comes to dogs of all shapes and sizes. She has 14 dogs of herbown, ranging from Huskies to small terriers. Her knowledge and experience are an invaluable resource, whether she’s communicating with veterinarians, talking with potential adopters, working with rescue partners, or simply handling the many day-to-day challenges that come with shelter life. And Sally doesn’t stop at her regular shelter duties. She also volunteers her time to help with various K9Konnection events whenever she can.

When she’s not busy caring for dogs or helping at the shelter, Sally enjoys one of her other passions: baking! The shelter staff can’t get enough of the delicious treats she brings in each week. We’re pretty sure those treats have earned her a few extra tail wags around the shelter!

Thank you, Sally, for everything you do for K9 Konnection. Your dedication, compassion, and willingness to help wherever you’re needed mean so much to all of us.

You are truly appreciated by the entire K9 Konnection family—and, of course, very much loved by the dogs!
