Volunteer Program

Earn your hours while helping local dogs. Students can complete high-school volunteer requirements at K9 Konnection through dog walking, kennel care, laundry, events, and basic office tasks. We also consider court-ordered community service on a case-by-case basis for non-violent, non-theft offenses.

Make a real difference—and earn your hours—at our no-kill dog rescue. High-school students can complete their volunteer requirements by helping with kennel cleaning, laundry, dishes, enrichment, dog walking (as appropriate), events, and simple office tasks. Training is provided; we’ll match tasks to your comfort level.
We also accept court-ordered community service on a case-by-case basis for non-violent, non-theft offenses. Eligibility, tasks, and schedule are set during a brief intake and orientation. Please note: animal-related offenses or any violent/theft charges are not eligible.

What to expect: show up on time, wear closed-toe shoes, follow safety guidelines, and treat dogs, staff, and fellow volunteers with respect. We track and verify hours upon request. Ages 16+ (under 18 with parent/guardian consent).

How It Works

  1. Call 928-232-2611 to confirm eligibility and goals (school or court).
  2. Complete orientation and sign waivers (parent/guardian for minors).
  3. Get scheduled for approved shifts and tasks.
  4. Serve & log hours (we’ll verify upon request).
  5. Finish & celebrate—you helped bring love home in Wickenburg.
